Our work stands in opposition to existing structures of authority, hierarchy and oppression. 

This means that we will never publish copaganda or act as a mouthpiece for the state. We never defer to vague notions of “objectivity” and “balance.” 

We fact-check rigorously, and are committed to an extensive verification process. Our team of reporters, photojournalists and researchers approach our work with years of experience, informed heavily by our exposure to the world of traditional access journalism. 

While we strive to be fair and accurate in our coverage, we also recognize one fundamental truth: people lie—especially cops, politicians and fascists.
